I would say finishing 4th once, 5th twice, 6th twice, and being in the top 8 for 7 years in a row is pretty close actually.
 
What is Martinez doing! he is turning Everton into Wigan on the verge of Kone and signing his back staff.
Seems stupid to sign the same staff and players that helped get wigan the drop!

It was to be expected that Martinez would bring his staff with him, just like Moyes took his lot with him. I like the football Martinez plays, so I don't mind his staff. I just hope that with the better players we have, we will obviously fare a lot better than Wigan did.

I also don't mind Kone, I think he's a decent striker and we certainly need more competition up front. He's quick, pretty powerful, and can play as a lone striker, which is how we've played in the past. Again, with better service he could easily score 15+ goals for us next season.
