"Next Gen" Thoughts

Had the ps4 for less than a month now. I think I bought it a good 6 months too early theres now ps4 exclusives that I want. I got killzone and its a very average shooter but does look very nice. Knack I haven't got but you guys don't rate it very much.
The wii u I bought about 2-3 months ago and im laughing. Ive got super Mario bros u, pikmin 3, super Mario 3d world and Zelda WW. Plus two wii games xenoblade chronicles and The last Story.
 
Why is the Xbox One so much more expensive than the PS4?
Not saying i wouldn't like one right now but I'm just wary of buying something so new - there's always little things that need ironed out!

People who have really high end PC's and PS4/XBOne - verdict ?

Is there any actual visual difference between the two? Mate of mine has both says there's no difference?

I'll be playing mostly on a 720p 125" projector which you think will look the best, if any? Only ever casually play the 360 for the past few years and love rpg/fps type games.

I spent Christmas round a friends and her two brothers had an Xbox One each with CODG and BF4 running on a 50 and 42 inch screen and I could spot the differences EASILY!
 
Will probably sell my Xbox one after the Xmas period, no decent games on the horizon and tbh its not that good.

COD looks awful, Fifa is meh and Forza is just a complete let down.

I wish i had waited now, got caught up in the hype lol

The games on the PS4 aint all that either, give it another year at least and see where they are then, i just cant see how anyone can say they are amazing at the mo.

in what way ?

from what I can gather the PS4 is better, that's why I was asking about the XboxOne being more expensive....

was all set to upgrade my PC but the PS4 has caught my attention now...
 
I think I've become a full on console gamer now.

The plus points of PC gaming have changed dramatically these days.

The only things I use my PC for these days is work, gaming-wise I'll play Football Manager or some indy games on Steam, but if the PS4/Xbox One are going to be as indy focused as they say they are... then it's just going to be Football Manager on my PC.
 
PS4 really is impressing me the gap between pc's has closed dramatically, At least for the moment, the difference in graphics is very small and the price of a high end pc compared to the ps4 is huge for what is a relatively small difference, maybe in a a year or two pc's will take over again as new hardware comes out, But for now i don't see a reason to build an uber gaming rig unless you got money to burn.
 
i think am gonna ditch my x360 for ps4 when i get a chance to buy it in shop and just in time as i have no interest in renewing my live membership again with microsoft.
 
I just bought a Samsung 46inch LED and both the new consoles look amazing compared to my Samsung 1080p 7 year old TV I was originally using. Ps4 looks a bit better but to be fair they both look really nice and I'm used to my high end pc at 1400p. Its nice sitting on the couch and FIFA and rise both look gorgeous. For the first time in 4 years I'm thinking about not upgrading my pc for a while and staying with the consoles
 
got both the ps4 and xbox on and think they are both great but ps4 is getting way more playtime which has surprised me as i prefer the controller and user interface on the one.
 
Loving my Xbox One. Quick blasts on FIFA and COD online is more of the same but still enjoyable. Really like putting the odd hour into Dead Rising 3 and Ryse too, really solid single player games in my opinion.

I've had a PS4 since launch too and it's not getting a look in (turned on 2-3 times). Granted I only got it with Killzone and there are no other games that interest me at the minute.
 
Happy with my PS4, I'm more happy with the frame rate than the actual image quality, PS3/360 used to have appauling FPS which ruined them for me. I just wish there were more games available such as Watch Dogs, Gran Turismo or Drive Club :(

Had a ps4 since Xmas day and me and the misses may have watched 30mins tv since, we love it. Plenty of games aswell don't understand all the got no games thing. I've played killzone, fifa 14, resogun, also playing knack and need for speed. Glad got a ps4 and not the xbox one might pick up a one down the road cheap when better games for it never been interested in DR3 and I like forza but 5 is way to dumbed down, other than that there the same on both but better on ps4.

Also the whole resolution etc and power difference bothers me aswell. I no it doesn't for some but I carnt live with knowing the console is inferior in that way personally.

this is a good point, prob more noticeable than the actual detail I'd imagine - especially when sitting back on the couch.
The further you're away from the TV the less you notice the quality of graphics but you always notice any judder!
