Got the Nexus Media Importer app and we are in business.

Nope but in fairness I ordered it to go to work. Checked tracking info which said it was out today but nothing about nobody being there so perhaps it's a mistake

Got mine today.

Was a reject from a forum member with minor back light bleed.

Im very happy with it. I dont care bout minor bleed so this is perfect considering there is 0 dead pixels.

Loveing the speed of it.

I have a blue tooth keyboard and case on way to be able to do my uni work on it. I plan to use it for my codeing work.

Perfect item this!

I ended up phoning TNT earlier, although their website shows '05/01/13 - Loaded onto van for delivery etc.', just means they've loaded the vans up for delivery on Monday :/

Got my hopes up it'd arrive today as well...

wtf is that smiley face for? u expect em to know everything know to man?

Have you tried converting it yourself and seeing the difference? Handbrake + RF: 19 works pretty well.

no because this is the first time i have heard of how you can now compress HD movies thata re 1gb in size. this mkv format or some other special format?

If this is the case then how come HD content downloaded are all 8-10gb? why dont they compress them to 1gb if it doesnt loose any quality at all or no noticable quality?

think along the lines of music. all music is mp3 format. hardlay anyone sells or uploads WAV files of music anymore

MP4/M4V. MKV works but I use Handbrake to burn in subtitles, since I find the subtitles lags a bit with any player, and Handbrake only supports converting to MP4/M4V.

Well they're probably just quickly converted after being ripped, hence the large file size, and maybe to retain as much quality as possible. As for the MP3 and WAV thing, for things like portable devices you won't hear much difference between the two, but with a proper sound setup, You can tell a difference between the two formats. Can't remember where I read it from but compressing a music file to the MP3 format "apparently" loses as much as 90% of the quality, but most people won't be able to tell the difference. Also back then, space was small and vital, and MP3 saved a lot of space. After a few years it became the standard. We have a lot more space in our devices now so it won't suprise me if another larger, higher quality format takes it's place in a few years (FLAC seems to be getting popular).

I apologise it just sounded like a stupid question, I figured you were trolling.

It's not.

There are plenty of rips out there around that size.

You can make any HD file almost any size, you could make a 1080p movie compress down to a few hundred megs if you wanted to. Inversely you could make it 50gb. It depends on what visual quality you want.

Most movies are encoded in h264 or x264 so generally the lower the file size the lower the quality, it's up to you what kind of quality you want to download.
