*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

Not having the best time trying to apply the 4.3 OTA manually....it appears that Stickmount or another root app has modified the "debuggerd" file.

I can find a 4.2.2 file from a N7 but not from the N10, anyone know if they'll be the same and I can try replacing it with a stock file from an N7?

Or if I try and reapply the 4.2.2 ota update what would the likely effect of that be?

-EDIT-

For anyone who encounters this issue, I pulled the debuggerd file from the 4.2.2 stock image and replaced it in the system\bin folder with a root explorer app. Then sideloaded the OTA as usual and all went well.

I'll keep the debuggerd file I extracted for a while in case anyone needs it.

Got the message for the update, but I forgot to uninstall SuperSU before applying the update (have not used any apps that require root for a long time). Now I have 4.3 installed, unrooted, locked bootloader but with SuperSU still installed as a system app with no root access :p...

One major thing I have noticed, is scrolling is a lot smoother now, especially in Firefox (it jittered in 4.2.2). This makes browsing on the tablet a whole lot nicer!

EDIT: Decided to reflash the entire tablet, wanted to clear everything root related.

Hnng...

Updated to Android 4.3 and now things are playing up. Spotify keeps crashing and apps won't download to be updated.

When it installed it 'optimised' my apps, but now I can't update any and I can't install any. "Error while retrieving information from server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]."

Which is slightly annoying, as I went to update Spotify, couldn't, uninstalled it to put it back on fresh, and now it doesn't want to install at all.

Great!!

Hmm... might be a case of deleting my Google account and then adding it back in. Giving that a go now.

Aha - it is downloading again...

EDIT again: Looks like we're back and that has fixed it.

EDIT again again: Nope, Spotify is still chuffing crashing. Marvellous.

Usually cleared by cleaning cache, deleting data and forcing to stop the Play Service, Play Store, Services Framework and Market Feedback. Then deleting your Google account.

It's a known problem.

What's the process to update my tablet? Its been rooted and I have superSU installed. Will I need to root it again after updating? Hope not because I have no idea how I did it in the first place XD

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone could help me, I bought my Dad a Nexus 10 this week and just been setting it up etc.. but gmail won't auto update, and we get nothing on the notification bar about any new emails, but you go into gmail, pull down and it refreshes and updates? All syncs seem to be turned on, I can't find the notification bar in the same way you would on my S4 or his S2, and I'm a bit confused!

Any takers? Also have the gmail inbox widget on his home screen so he can see instantly who emails are from etc.. but thats obviously not updating either! :(

It should automatically sync. Go into the Gmail app and check the settings there. Maybe clear the data on the gmail app as well to just to reset it.

As for the notification bar... swipe downwards from the left side. That's where all the notifications will be.

Yep, I've checked all settings, things seem fine, but I might remove the entire app & re download the app.

Notifications, I know where they are/should be, but with no auto sync comes no notifications, tres anneuyant! :(
