*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

Has anyone had a 3g dongle working on this without rooting , also does anyone know if the orange PAYG Dolphin sim would work in a dongle as i it says on the orange website you cant tether it but using the dongle is not classed as tethering (i think).

Just arranged for my nexus 10 to go back as I get massive interference through the headphone whilst charging or using an otg cable.

Hi J1nyx,

I have the same problem with my Nexus 10 : loud interference in headphones when charging via micro USB. I returned it, got a new one, and the problem is still there !

What are your conclusions so far about that problem ? Any solution ?

Thanks,
Olly

tried a different Usb cable and that helped but other than that nothing. The only other thing I've discovered is that Google support are the most incompetent bunch of useless idiots I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Yeah, I'm going to ask for a refund on this current one, as I can't be doing with the hassle of getting second hand ones, but the guy who I've sent about 30 emails to hasn't responded in the last three weeks

Another phone call required...

Its not just when charging thou, its also sometimes audible when the Nexus is doing other things not involving the usb port. If you really want to blow your ear drums thou, try watching a movie from an OTG connected USB stick, every time it gets accessed the noise is deafening...

Something is wrong then, I only get the problem when something is connected to the USB port. Other times it's perfectly silent.

Thats why I'm still after nearly 2 weeks of trying to arrange to return the stupid damn thing...

well, as I said before, I did return the tablet, got a new one a few days later, and guess what : same problem !!

The guy from the technical support said he had never heard of such a thing. It's obvious they are trying to hide some hardware problems though.

So, I'll try another cable and let you know...

I'm thinking of buying a 16gb for my missus to replace her iPad 1 but there's one thing I need to know: if install flash on a n10 will it play Facebook games OK?
That's probably what it will mostly used for! (then I can get her off my PC at last)

Thanks.

Anyone?

To be honest it will not be ideal, most of the games will probably work and most will work well enough to play but you're probably going to find problems just playing the games because you're on a touch screen device.

It is not something I would recommend.

I got this little Gizmo today, MicroUSB MicroSD card reader and it only cost about $6 including delivery, although I also got a USB OTG cable today to go with my RageXT 64Gb flash drive.

My pogo pin cable arrived while I was away so only just had a chance to try it and the difference in charging speed is huge. Its gone from 68-73% in an hour on usb to 73-93% in an hour on the pogo. You do need to use the original charger thou as using an iPad charger showed it as being on USB whilst the original one shows as being on AC.
