*** Nexus 5 Accessory Thread ***

Just out of interest, how did your 3 devices arrive? If it's airmail I'd guess it was Royal mail who then delivered it to your door?

Mine arrived via Royal Mail and you had to sign for the package, so make sure someone's around to take the delivery.

Cool, thanks. Hate missing a delivery from a courier and having to re-arrange or go pickup. Ta!

No worries, if you did miss delivery and you have a card to hand you could always rearrange for a day that's suitable for you on the Royal Mail website. I did just that for a package because the sorting office is miles away from where we live.

My meenova arrived yesterday and was just posted through the door, works great with nexus media importer that I bought a while ago when I use an otg cable on my nexus 7.

If anyone's looking for some screen protectors, I really recommend Anker.

They recently sent me some to review (anti-glare) and my honest opinion is that they are fantastic.

I've always hated anti-glare screen protectors because they ruin the look of the display, but I don't mind Anker's ones at all! They're really scratch resistant, so my screen protector doesn't get all scratched up in my pocket.

They're available for many devices on Amazon, including the Nexus 5.

Any unrooted Meenova users, are you able to write to it? If so, with what? On their website they advice ES File Explorer, but it doesn't work for me...

The button area's are better other than that not a lot really. It does look better quality as well.
I'm certainly pleased with it. I had no problems with import duty and bought direct from their site.
I ordered on the 24th and got it today, not bad considering its Christmas.
Thanks for that, I ordered mine yesterday but it is still "processing", guess being the new year and all they maybe behind.

Did you get any confirmation emails from them asking to click to confirm account or something? I never got one.

For those who are looking to buy one I found a discount code, REPEATBUYER gives you 10% off ($1 in this case) :)

I got 3 emails from them. I never had to confirm the account, just got an email telling me my login details for future purchases
1.Welcome to Diztronic
2.Order Confirmation No12345
3.Your order from Diztronic has shipped (with the tracking info)
I used that discount code and they give it you again in one of the emails.

Ok thanks,

Might drop them a support email and see what they say. I got the paypal emails just none from Diztronic themselves.

Just got my meenovoa card reader. It was delivered by Royal mail and had to sign for it.
Like everyone else (probably) I ripped the back getting in to the box :p :D

Its a good bit of kit but can't play with it yet as my card has not turned up yet from rainforest :(

Just got my nexus today. Very excite :).

I need to get a case and a screen protector as I'm currently using an old slip case that isn't ideal. Could I get some advice?

Are there any cases that are standing out above the others? I don't mind the addition of a little bit of bulk to get a more protective case so I quite like the look of the Spigen Slim Armour case. Are there any cases that cover the whole whole phone including screen that look any good?

Also, what do people think about the glass screen protectors? Are they worth the extra money? I don't really know anything about them.

I have the spigen slim armour.
It looks nice and feels like it would be able to take a small drop.
Cons are the the case nips the sides so makes the power button really sensitive, I had it locking on me while using it.
I wedged some paper on either side of the power button before slipping the case on, which has helped with this issue.
It's for me fairly slippery so nearly slipped out of my hands a fair few times, has a tiny lip so you only just get a small lay on the table protection and for me most of my headphone/earphone jacks won't fit as the case prevents them fitting. Only slim I-plugs will fit.
Not the best case out there and pretty pricey compared to other cases mentioned in this thread. HTH.

OK, tearing hair out here :)
I'll be ordering my Nexus 5 very soon, but would like to sort the case out in preparation.
I prefer "bump" style cases. I like to have access to the "naked screen", so wont be using screen protectors.
Yer, I know, but I have an HTC One X in front of me right now with a screen as good as the day it arrived that is 2yrs old now.

So the genuine case is £25

But is there a way of getting something extremely similar but for less cash?
The other two posted are:

Spigen NEO Hybrid
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EV8Y6QQ/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=electronics

Spigen Ultra Fit
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SPIGEN-Anti...d=1388502503&sr=8-4&keywords=SGP+case+nexus+5

Are either of these two as good a fit and as good in looks as the official/genuine bump case?
I do appreciate there are 13 pages here and yes, I have spent the time reading through most of the posts, but I'm still not sure :)

Want something "bump" in design.
Adds as little to the overall dimensions of the phone
Feels and looks good

Thanks.

Thinking off picking up this wireless charger, anyone have any experience with it or any other recommendations.

It has pretty good reviews.

Look back through the thread. One user on here did a video review of a cheaper one. I've got 2 of the one he recommened and they are great. I also posted a link to them on Amazon.

Link to Amazon shop in my post on page 10. Grab a few of them.

i have this one

http://www.amazon.co.uk/GMYLE-Wirel...F8&qid=1389181704&sr=1-2&keywords=wireless+QI

and i think it's good. only issue is the phone is on the side rather then standing up like it'd be in a dock which i've been used to with my nexus 4, however it's unlikely there will be a stnading dock qi charger so it's a trade off, and i prefer to be able to just put the phone down and it's charging. i also have a qi car dock in my car and again great as before i'd never bother to plug it in.

the one i linked is good as it has a rubber band (yours might too) so the phone is on a nice soft surface
