Yea it's pretty bad but I guess it's personal preference... if I was forced to buy one and use it I would pick the LG one. But like I said I don't like the design either way.

I don't see how that's less faff than press button screen on, press button screen off.

This has happened a couple of times to me but so far not so much bother. It mainly happened when I was trying to show someone else something ongoing the phone.
 
I have the Spigen Ultra Fit-Crystal Shell for my Nexus 5; I personally think it's a great case as it's quite thin and stops the phone itself from being scratched, without adding too much bulk.

I'm not sure it offers too much protection to the front of the device, but I don't think any case that doesn't add too much bulk can guarantee against your screen smashing on impact.

Now, I've never been a fan of screen protectors as I've often found they don't offer much clarity or/and add resistance to the screen when swiping. However, I received some Orzly screen protectors with my Orzly Fusion Gel Case that I was using to protect the phone before getting the Spigen above and they're great! There's no orange peel effect and the touch experience doesn't feel any different to using the phone without the protector.

I used the hinge application method and as you can see from the photos below, you can't tell there's a screen protector applied, apart from the raised edges of the cut outs for the ear piece and sensors.

A friend of mine was down yesterday who also has an N5. However he doesn't use a case. Made me realise how awesome the phone looks naked.

So now I've removed my case too.

Let's hope I don't drop it.

I know what you mean. I took my case off my N5 the other and realised how much the case was hiding the looks of the phone. Might keep it in a pouch from now on. :)
 
Never had a case I use on a daily bases and never ever used a screen protector which is an insult to any phone.

If I am out on the town or tinkering in the shed I might stick my phone in a bumper or flip case.

For 90% of the time fully naked and it goes in my left Jean pocket... Which is exclusively reserved for my phone. No keys or coins! :)

Thanks, I've recently been using my NX300 a lot more and have been buying more accessories to help with my photography.

It's the stand that came with my Moga Pro controller, which I mainly use for my Nexus 10. The controller is ~£30 at a guess? I'm not sure if similar stands exist by themselves, I guess "phone easel stand" would be a good search on Google.

Cool, thanks. I'll see what I can find. I'm getting a bit fed up of having my Nexus 5 flat on my desk. Would like to have it stood up so I can see the screen better when I get notifications. :)
