shipping was probably done by LG and not by google themselves.

or maybe they only recently found the problem and have had to delay everything?

so after they had shipped them? or after they had set up with logistics that they would be shipped on a certain date, so it would cost them a lot of money not to ship them now.

anyway it is a bit suspicious is it not?

no announcement and it's supposedly launching tomorrow?

google have seriously messed this up.

Thinking about the advances recently made in the Moto X, I believe this was a feature that Reddit is saying is on the Nexus 5. Real cool if it is!

Why have they messed up? No one knows the schedule apart from Google.

it's already been shipped to CPW, etc yet there is no confirmed launch date.

why would you ship something to retail outlets when the launch date is uknown to everyone?

i mean if they are in the shops surely it would be launching within days not weeks.

not announcing the launch date is where they have messed up.

e.g. i have known for months now when the ps4 would be launching.

I don't see that as messing up at all. Would it have been to Google's advantage if they'd announced an Oct 31 release date back in the summer? Of course not, there wouldn't have been anything like as much hype.

I can see it now. Inside the Google boardroom.....

Exec1 "Guys - we've shipped the phones to all the carriers under NDA"

Exec 2 "Wow thats great - high 5's all round!"

Exec 3 "Ummm... so when are we actually releasing the thing........?"

........."Damn - knew we forgot something"

Aside from the NDA breaches - do you honestly think any of this is unplanned?
