*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

I too got the case for £0.01. It will do until I find a decent slim one. Also need to buy a decent screen protector film.

Not sure which one though. I always go for Expert Shield for my camera and phone. My screen protector on my Sony RX100 with Expert Shield is still perfect. The shield was recently replaced after being on the camera which has been under heavy and frequent use for the past 12 months. The corner came off every so slightly and I decided it was time for a new protector as the amount of scratches was unreal on the protector.

ANYWAY.

It really is a premium case but I paid US$55 (that's with shipping added) so it's isn't cheap and one might argue why pay that much for a case when you can easily get one for £3 lol

what determines which is best?

to me poetic are the best, they are well known now, and every case i have had from them has been quality and more importantly cheap. in fact i just looked over my original nexus 7 with poetic case and it still looks like the same a year on.

i bought an otterbox once for like £30 for my HOX, after that i realised premium cases were only slightly better than the cheap ones. luckily i sold it on with the HOX for a profit shortly afterwards.
 
An email from Citipost saying that Yodel will now deliver tomorrow. I'll wait for the tracking to be updated before I start to get excited.

There are already lots of pictures of the Nexus 7 2013 on the net now or is there something more specific you require?


I have also gone and purchased a set of these screen protectors to see what they are like

One E-tailer (hint!) in particular started taking pre-orders pretty much the same time the tablet was announced. Already pre-ordered one myself. :)

There are other sites doing pre-orders. Just a matter of looking. I found 3 sites yesterday doing pre-orders. Two of them using the same outlet as they were priced exactly the same: £230 I believe for the 32GB.
