Nexus Prime

We are talking about something that is going to cost £500-£600 here. Why should it be made out of horrible cheap and nasty plastics? For me, I need to feel i'm getting something that is worth the money I paid. What's the point in putting high end components in a cheap shonky housing? The Galaxy S2, despite being technically a great phone, looks like one of those cheap ebay iPhone knockoffs!

The only thing that would sway me to this phone (already own a Nexus S) is the screen. Everything else is so-so in comparison for my needs. Of course if I never owned a Google phone in the first place, this could be a different story.

it may be plastic but its far from cheap and nasty on my S2, yes i would prefer metal if i had a choice, but not bothered

Personally the s2 felt like a biscuit to me, thin waif and easy to snap in half.

Nice phone for sure, but id rather have something with a bit of heft to it.

You guys arguing over the use of Aluminium instead of plastic clearly fail at understanding the science behind the use of plastic material. I suggest you stick to HTC or apple ifon.

I have my PC in a decent case. My Sony TV is of a decent build quality too. I do try to buy things with decent build quality. Not all companies put out poorly built junk.

You do know that for most cases the "cheap" plastic will out last most other things. After around atleast 100 drops my SGS doesnt even have a single mark on its cheap plastic casing doubt any type of metal or glass could claim that.

My PC monitor is all aluminium, it has no dents, is massively heavy (11KG) and feels awesome therefore it must be better than 99% of everything else!

!!

Unfortunately, some people are very hung up on what material it is.
And as they should be if they are dropping a large sum of money on a product.

Ha ha, really? Please show me a post of anyone, anywhere in the world that has done this.

Reminds me of Grandpa Simpson complaining about toys these days, then he can't break or damage them...

I'll admit the back battery cover bending is pretty awesome, but I'd prefer a much stiffer setup.

And in regards to the Simpsons, he complains that toys always break these days ;)

I don't like the SGS2, because of how light it is. I prefer something with a bit more substance tbh
