They are important. Bin men, home shopping drivers etc, they are all providing a vital service to keep the country going. Often more than many NHS staff.

That’s not saving lives though really them are just general duties.

As are a lot of NHS workers. I bet a very small percentage of NHS staff are actually working on the frontline with Covid patients.

Without them, there would be no NHS. So they are saving lives. Delivery food, saving lives, driving trains saving lives, collecting bins saving lives, etc etc etc

So whilst the free stuff for the NHS workers is great, and well deserved, it would be nice if other key workers were recognised for the important role they are performing to keep everybody safe.
