100 v 1 ? whats that about? its not religion but 2 different civilizations separated by a few 1000 miles and a few 1000 years, yer so close.

I never mentioned it, I am just commenting on thread which I didn't start maybe they are connected? maybe all the old prophecies are connected and mean the same sort of time

revelation,Mayans,Sumerian,Egyptians etc etc who knows I am just commenting on the mis information about Nibiru.

Big deal, I wrote Sumerian instead of Mayan - I am so sorry.
I was reading about the Mayans when I replied and slipped that name in - so what.
The fact remains that one bloke looked at Sumerian texts (not Mayan) and came up with the idea of Nibiru that people on here are believing.
Once again sorry about typing Mayan.

Not as bad as me thinking 'Hope you last in your next job' and then actually writing it down on a card today :)
I had to go across the shop and buy a new one then tell the rest of the staff I'd spilt tea on the original.

The point you were putting over was the suggestion that every one of the thousands of astronomers around the world is involved in a huge and bizarrely successful conspiracy to suppress evidence of Nibiru because announcing it would cause panic, destroy society, etc, (and would be pointless because we couldn't do anything about it). Therefore you're arguing that the Nibiru believers are acting to cause panic, destroy society, etc. Which would matter if more than a few people believed them.

Yes some people are making claims which they cannot know so just ignore them.I am only interested in the possibility that the ancient texts/carvings/reliefs have been interpreted to mean the the coming/return or said planet/comet/asteroid/star. As stated we will all know soon enough if there is any legs in this tale, just let in runs its course and we shall know.

There are some claims inherent in that interpretation. Most relevantly, the duration of the orbit. That alone is enough to dismiss the whole thing, because it means that the thing would have to be very close (in astronomical terms) by now and it isn't. The only possibility is an asteroid that has escaped detection, which implies it isn't very big.
 
And could we do anything about it bar say "Oh Crap" ?

There was one advertised on the bill board I can see out of my flat, it does indeed look crap though, and il be damned if I go watch it :p

of the planetary landmasses. This begs the question of why? As a marker perhaps as to
the center of rotation of the planet under such circumstances as a free floating crust?
Bearing in mind that there is no 'down' in space, when the crust of the earth rotates, its
position and point of rotation will be determined by mavity as determined by what
object in space is closest to the 'center of mass' of the earth, conveniently marked by
the Giza pyramids. The two candidates that we have to specifically affect our rotation
are the moon, and the sun. Though smaller, the moon is closest, and if it may be
a primary determinate for how these periodic crustal spins resolve themselves.

A lovely theory hindered only by two facts:

1) The first sentence isn't true, or more accurately, is so ill-defined as to be meaningless. Centre as defined how? Including which bits? Are you allowing for the different thicknesses of different bits of the crust? What about all the underwater ridges and islands? Are you allowing for different rock densities? Or are you playing the old game of crudely cutting out a Mercator projection map of the earth including only Eurasia and Africa and seeing where you can balance it on a pin? Or most likely, is some ****nut making it up because it looks good?

2 The rest is pseudoscientific gibberish, and makes no sense at all. The object closest in space to the earth CoG is, well, the whole ****ing earth. Every part of it is attracted to every other part. I should also point out that because of the equatorial bulge (which isn't on the equator either), the poles are several miles closer to the centre of the earth than the pyramids are, which means that if such a point existed, it would actually be the South Pole.
