Nice Modding.......

Calling mods power hungry is a bad idea.

It's like waving a big flag saying "HEY, HATE ME, HATE ME PLEASE!"

Seriously, it's just not a good idea. Accept that - by it's very nature - the mod team can be inconsistent, or you will be disappointed again and again.

I'll never understand the harsh stance taken here on swearing when "wtf" is allowed without issue tbh.

If you think that's bad... Try bumping a listing in the members market too early... Or pricedropping in the first 24 hours even if you realize that you way overpriced it.

We have given warnings over and over again and majority of people do not learn. A ban is simply more effective, and it is proving by this thread. He did not like being banned, therefore he will not do it again.

A ban is not supposed to be nice. :)

Most people get Sussed at one time or another during there time on OcUK, The way to respond is just take it like a man do your Suss then come back with head held high & stay within the rules. The way not to respond is to start a thread & whinge, OP chose the latter so :p

Wow, just wow. And you're higher up than a mod.

Actually, it's a very valid way to make someone understand something. Leading questions are a part of any good sales pitch, and I can see where he was going with it. Not sure why you object?

From that point of view, what are the point in infractions then?

In the past an infraction would have been my first instinct. There's never fully unstarred swearies anymore due to the filter so I reckon a warning should suffice. Usernotes are there to catch the repeat offenders, as like you say some don't learn.

:edit: Then again I guess maybe my point of view is "too soft" as I believe it was called in the past.

You should add a rule that states you will be suspended for offences that show you did not read the FAQ. Then when they read it they while on their suspension they won't come back and complain.

Came in to see nice modding of case, cars, houses.

Left dissapointed %%&&*****!!!

You need to banned I'm afraid, you didn't follow the rules. You need to use a repeated characters....

OcUK would like you and your whole family to learn and share via our forums. For this reason swearing and the posting of "adult" or offensive material is forbidden. Simply replacing some of the letters in a swearword with a * or any other character is not acceptable. If you must then please replace the whole word with ***** or other repeated character. We also expect members to behave respectfully and not launch personal or abusive attacks on other members. Those who post for the sole purpose of causing trouble are not welcome here and will be dealt with accordingly.

That's not a leading question. That's a ridiculous conclusion he's drawn from what he's said, somehow, because I can't see anywhere in the OP that would lead him to think that. He's trying to put the OP in a dilemma and restrict his options.

The OP is clearly saying that he thinks the decision was harsh and then, poorly I might add, tried to justify his actions by saying "Oh so and so got away with it". The swearing part isn't the issue I don't think. The OP is more annoyed about the fact that he got a suspension for one offense.

He's just amazed by my awesomeness and rightly pointing out my position - gives me a warm glow :)

Honestly nothing's off the agenda for discussion as far as I'm concerned but things that appear like a power trip or stupid decisions when viewed from one side usually have some basis for being done when viewed from another perspective.

Sometimes things that are 'just done that way' are wrong though, so some discussion both ways can help :)

Just out of interest what happens when you get banned or suspended? Do you get an email to state the fact or do you log in and a colourful 'YOU'RE BANNED" scrolls across your screen in a Spectrum type fashion complete with colour clash?

If you'd bothered to read the FAQ then you wouldn't be in this predicament ;)

O and calling a mod a tool? Nice going, I think a 7 day holiday would be suitable...

You do realise that i have only called myself a tool?????????............
