i have just spend the most i ever would on aftershave

you get like 40 different aftershaves but only say 15 uses of each one. for £60-£70 iirc. backed it a while ago.

they have copied all the big name scents too.

Some aftershaves just smell better on different people. I just found it very samey, didnt seem to jump out at me. I much prefer most of the Tom Ford range, black orchid especially.

If you compare how strong it is and how many sprays are needed and the size of the bottle, it isn't that expensive!

mostly paying for the marketing... if a 'whiff' is really popular then this cost can represent a much smaller amount per product sold, then again people have been conditioned to paying high prices for this stuff on the basis that they're paying for a premium product despite stuff like this being available for less than a tenner:

doesn't have the snob factor but tis perfectly possible to make a scent that many people like without charging high prices

This, usually I have a good few squirts of the stuff, with the Creed sample two was more than enough.

As an example 50ml Aventus is officially £170, realistic price of a 50ml split is £50-55

people on forums etc buy large (250ml+) bottles and break them down into smaller bottles

in 1 min I found 500ml for £540 and I would imagine those in the know pay less

I guess there needs to be a degree of trust there... can some unscrupulous perfume dealers start 'cutting' drug dealer style and turn 500ml into 700ml before breaking it down into 50ml bottles to sell on...
