Nice sounding four pot?

The Rover T16 turbo also sound pretty sweet with a Mongoose.

Not got a Mongoose, but I've got a video of mine doing a few fly-bys.

There's one particular part before my car comes into view, where the induction roar sounds like a 6-cyl. Sounds wicked!!

I'll post it when I get home.

You sure? SR20DET sounds awfully dull.

SR20DET and VAG 1.8T are both heinous sounding things. The SR is one of the droniest, flattest notes I have ever heard.

Lashout's Dolly sounds ace, like a real engine.

Marc Alcorn's Corolla (runs a 16v red top I believe) sounds great and he certainly knows how to use the throttle pedal (love the co-drivers pace notes :D)

Simon McKinley's Escort is another goodun

And the lovely 4AG

Ok ok I can't compete with MR2s and S2000s with VTEC y0! but i've done a video anyway.

Apologies as the Ford Focus doesnt come with a video camera place holder to show off to yer mates so it's quite poor quality sound especially for the wind noise. You'll just have to turn up yer speakers :p

Max speed I got up to was 90mph on a errrr private road which my mate's brother owns. (Or was it a track?)

Also I didn't realise I changed gear like a fag stroking a rock hard willy.

The old Escorts are doing well on the noise, 86's pretty good too. While we are doing rally vids here's my offering

As for boxer engines, normal scoobs aint my bag sorry, sounds like a misfiring banger. My mates last one had an equal length manifold on, in combo with the full afterburner system sounded really good.

For a standard new car I quite liked the note that Spaz's 197 put out on the RR, was actually quite a meaty loud sound.
