Nice to walk into a package when you get home..

Nice! Get some pics up if you are modifying it.

I need help with screw sizes:

I want some socket head screws:

The diameter of the holes in the case for the screw is 5mm, so I need a 5mm screw as above 1/2" long.

Does that mean M5 screws? Tried to read up on it just but it was all woosh! - right over my head :(

Right. This is my area. ;)

If you're going for metric, the ISO Standards for a M5 Metric Hexagon Socket Screws are:

Thread diameter - 5mm
Socket top diameter - 7.5mm
Socket top height - 6.25mm
Overall bolt length - 19.5mm minimum
Hex socket size in cap - 4mm
Hex socket depth in cap - 3.75mm

However, the M5 thread may not be the fill 12mm, it could be as little as half that easily depending on the applciation it was designed for.

We used to buy 50mm long M6 bolts and chop off the last 12mm so we were only left with 3mm of thread. That was all that we needed.

Don't the HDD go in the back - with the fans? I thought the whole point was you could mount a 120.3 in the RHS column of 5.25" bays! (well they do in my case fantasy ;) )

And Joan Cusack is my optical disc changing mechanism :D

Today I started on the new feet, drilled and tapped them so that the 4 holes already in the case could be used.

Punching them, to use with a small drill bit:

4.5mm holes done for M5*8 thread tap:

All four finished after a clean up, didn't take pics of the tap procedure as time was getting on :)
