Nicknames.

Bacon..... cos of my name.

Chris Barrett = Chris B = Chris B Bacon = Bacon :cool:

Been called Bacon for the last 4 years now, some people i used to work with don't even know my real name.
 
My friends were kind enough to give me over 100 different nicknames through school. Funnily enough, I sat down the other day and worked out each one must have lasted all but a week and they're all linked in some way lol

For example;

Lorey (last name)
Lawrence
Lawrence of Arabia
Lawrence of Olivia
Lawrenzo
Lawrenzo Oil
Texaco's Finest Oil
Texaco
Tex
Texas Tornado

There's many many more.. but you get the pic lol
 
Bumblebee at school because I had a big puff jacket that had yellow and black stripes. It also had maroon shoulder patches, maroon was our school colour. This of course makes me a contemporary of Sting.;):D

George by one mate at Uni because I kept going to the toilet a la George Michael.:rolleyes: Thanks Batt!

I prefer my current nickname Dave. Dave because my last name is Lister and I remind people of Red Dwarf. Funnily enough I love that programme so for me Dave is the best nickname I've had in my life.:cool:

Aye. At the same time? Yes to that one as well I suppose, having just come back from the pub and 3.5 pints. I have a regular Indian takeaway. Actually I reckon if I started the conversation on the phone with "Hi, it's Mr Lister here" I wouldn't have to say anything else.;):o

Is that good or bad? Hmm dunno about that one.

My most used nickname is Chandy.
No I'm not indian, here's how it was derived:

I used to look like someone that was nicknamed cheese because he had a fondness for cheesy bagles (and he was a bit like the Dean from old school who was also nicknamed cheese). So because we looked alike the name cheese got mixed with Andy, hence the name Chandy.

Funny thing is almost everyone's nickname was made up by the same person and usually the reasoning was much more convoluted than that :p

Someone has to step up and take the responsibility for mankind. It's a hard job you know. /groans at own joke.
 
A lot of people call me "the bear" or "bear"

It started out a couple of years ago, when a friend of mine said i looked like the Charmin Ultra Bear..... it stuck...... my nickname is based on loo roll.... great :cool:
