Nico Rosberg disciplined by Mercedes for Hamilton collision

So if the team now have to be obeyed no matter what and the team comes first, if Lewis or Rosberg get the call to move over like Lewis did they will? We all know that Lewis did the right thing but at the time the team thought it was the right thing to do.

So the team comes first right guys?

They haven't disciplined him for racing, they've disciplined him for deliberately causing a collision with his team mate. There's quite a difference.

Williams had a similar rule in the late 80's - do whatever you want but don't hit each other. If they had, FW would have gone berserk.

Personally, I'd have been more wary of Patrick Head than Frank tbh. He could be a very shouty man. :D

Love the way that Mercedes said both drivers are free to race, and now they're disciplining one of their drivers for doing what they said they could. Back to team orders for Mercedes zzz.

U wot m8? Of course teams will punish drivers for deliberately colliding with their team mates!

Funny.... im watching the f1 show right now and murray walker says it was a racing incident and jody schekter says it wasnt deliberate. Guess your opinion holds more weight tho! :p

It is an opinion. Nobody's opinion 'holds more weight'. Regardless, it would seem that Mercedes disagree with you as they have punished Rosberg. Also, they said their drivers were free to race...not crash into each other.

I can only assume from Mercedes 'disciplining' Rosberg that Hamiltons quote of what Nico said, 'I did it on purpose' is actually true otherwise it would have been chalked up to a racing incident.

I cant believe it wasnt a racing incident...
mercedes obviously dont want to punish rosberg too much as it will affect the title race, however he should have been made an example of to stop this childish fued.
hamilton has had rotten luck this year, and now has even more going against him.
