Ninja Squirrells

We don't have the greys here for obvious reasons and the reds here are so much better then the grey vermin back home. I was out with my camera at the weekend in a park and saw my first red :D

I get loads of blck squirrels around here, I had a baby one around the back of my flat a few weeks ago, I think it left the nest too early and after a few days it died. I'd come back afer a few days away to find it barely able to move next to my front doorstep. It died before I could get it to a vet.

Next day there was a baby grey squirrel ouside my door! :D

Grey squirrels actually have very little to do with the decline of reds in the UK. They dont even compete for the same terratory and food. We humans are really to blame again. Reds were once considered vermin and were hunted to extinction in ireland and most of England in the 1920s, long before greys came to the UK.
