well just read this and was very dissapointed and i think a lot of others will be.

hoping to try demo to see how card would run it before buying a new cards if needed now just have to wait

Why waste the effort? They know they're going to sell it by the absolute boat load anyway, so why spend 2 months knocking together a demo?

It's just going to be COD4 with some tweaks and new weapons and stuff anyway, it's not even using a new engine is it?

I really hope it's every bit as good as CoD4...but from what I've seen in the leaked vids it looks kinda OTT... :/

Hopefully IW will produce another great game though and I'm sure they will...just abit apprehensive on whether it's going to have the lasting effect as CoD4 did on me.

Yeah kinda arrogant on IW's behalf not having a demo or beta of any kind. Although CoD4 didn't have a demo just a beta - really not looking forward to all the glitches early on in MW2 thanks to no beta :/ Would be very suprised if it comes out with minimum glitches

because they know it will sell by the bucket load anyway. I think its very arrogant to just up the price of it to £50. I would love it if we could get everyone to boycott it as soon as it came out until they made it the same price as every other game.

but that isnt going to happen.

And to be honest, how many people will be persuaded to get MW2 just because of the demo? I think it has a good enough reputation to not need a demo.

Ah right did the PC have a demo...? Cos I played on PS3/ 360 and they don't have CoD4 demos on there....

I got it for £29.99 @ game.co.uk with a £5 voucher...I haven't seen a single large retailer up the price to £50. Nice bit of advertising for activision...?

PC did indeed have a demo, it was the Bog level with the ambushed tank.

To be honest, I agree with some of whats been said in this thread (OTT leaked videos, wheres the balance?!) but frankly Fourzerotwo has already said that they're at the stage now where they're simply ironing out some bugs and polishing the game up. I'd rather they spent time doing that than release a demo.

There have been far too many games released in recent memory that have been bugged to ... well, buggery on their release and required extensive patching.

If there was a demo I'd be more likely to pre-order for release, now I think I'll wait for the reviews and forum impressions. Not too fussed about the MP tbh but do like a decent SP campaign.

The first few months will be full of glitchers

At least with a beta some of these would be ironed out before release.
