no demo for call of duty modern wafare 2 !

I won't be buying it, just like I didn't buy COD4, they're both too expensive and hardly ground-breaking.

Aha, just another generic shooter with a tweak to the graphics thats gonna sell millions of copies. I couldn't see the huge 'hoo har' about its multiplayer as well, give me TF2 anyday over it.

Not really interested in a demo, im fairly certain it won't hold up depth / design-wise to HL2, Stalker etc, you know, the decent type of fps :)

Think it depends really on if you played COD4 in competitive match play, y'know like 5v5. It was easily the best thing since Counter-Strike 1.6 in that regard. That's why I enjoyed it so much.

The single player was good too, I really enjoyed it but will openly admit that it wasn't anything new (even though the Pripyat level was one of the best I've ever played in an FPS).

I nearly started a thread on here today about Stalker:SOC and atmospheric games as a side note!

Wonder if theyve actually fixed the TDM spawn..OH but thats right the spawns have been broken since the original COD, something they said would be sorted in a patch..years later we're still waiting. Dunno what the fun is exactly in spawning and geting raped by someone waiting around, or as it sometimes goes you shoot someone and they spawn a few feet behind you for a cheap kill....

Heres an idea of what MW2 will be like.... like MW1 but better.

No need for a demo. :p

Also, the graphics aren't really that much better so it'll pretty much run at high settings if you can max out MW1. This is mainly down to them making the game for the consoles.

No takers....?

Tbh i really can't think of a 'groundbreaking' game since HL1, although my memory is pap so correct me if im wrong :)

Im not a hater of the latest COD series, its just i can't see much difference between them and say, the COD2 era of FPS's. A few have made small steps such as Bioshock, but no huge leaps from what i can remember.

I don't like the look of the view obscuring effects like blood splatters etc, it will get old fast, i was looking forward to it but now im not so sure as i played cod4 on the pc recently where as i used to play cod4 on the 360 and quite enjoyed it, also was pretty good but on the pc most decent servers are over the top, usually hardcore with nades and air strikes going off all the time so you die a lot, playing on smaller and non hardcore servers helps but it's not the same, i will wait and see what people think.

Your loss!

Expensive? LOL!! £34.99 is a standard price for a game in my eyes. Especially when I know I'll get hundreds of hours of game play from it.

Isnt the price tag for this meant to be £50? And i wouldn't exactly say that a bog standard on rails scripted up the wazoo shooter with a slightly suspect (glitchy) mp is any big loss in any terms.

Even if it is just a tweaked MW1 it will be worth it.

New maps , different weapons and same engine - suits me fine.

The MP is the main thing for me, and has kept me entertained for 47d 22h 20mins , so far :D

Works out at about 3pence per hour of game play.

No other game i've played has lasted this long.

I get the feeling the bad mouthers just owned over and over.

COD4 MP is probably one of the best games I've ever played and I've played a fair few lol.
