Did your pc start up with the newer CPU giving the same symptoms ?

If yes that CPU needs sending back.

Your CPU in the newer motherboard not working indicates a faulty board.

Could be a case of the CPU taking out the motherboard as well as being faulty .

Last option is to flash the bios and test using the bios button on the back of the motherboard before sending that back also.

That is strange, because normally a faulty CPU would get stuck on the first post code LED, the red one that you sometimes see flash up, not the 2nd one which is yellow and refers to ram.

Or if you have a post code display on the board then 00 for a faulty CPU, 15 or C5 for ram.

No i got incontact with overclockers i found a bent min on the mother board which I managed to ben back but made no diffrence I'm gonna order a new board next week and hopefully that will sort it

Did you try flashing the bios as suggested?

I have not read the rest of my applies so feel free to ignore it if its been checked\suggested already.

When you disconnected the battery from the motherboard did you disconnect the PC from the mains and then hold down the power button for 30 seconds to make sure nothing had any current or still being powered by the mains?

This is what I normally do for a bios reset.

Disconnect the PC from the mains, remove the battery from the motherboard, hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then leave it for 20/30 mins.
