Just listening to this whilst (not) working, I had the album on CD when it was released but you forget just about every song on this first album is so good.

I have seen the Darkenss live a couple of times, they recently did a gig Thursday last week my brothers went but I couldnt get out of work :/

Such a good band, they are like a fine wine just get better with age.

I went to see them last week with Massive Wagons supporting.
Seen them 5 times.
 
Well any and all Christmas cheer I had has been completely wiped out today due to an event so tragic and disappointing that I felt a piece of my soul leave my body. I needed to wash a fork at work, so I approached the sink like I always do, opened the tap like I always do, grabbed the fairy liquid like I WAIT WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? Someone's diluted the Fairy liquid! As I turned the bottle upside down I could feel the limp viscosity but as muscle memory was telling my hand to squeeze it, my brain was screaming and I lost total control as the liquid squirted out the bottle like a rampant fire hose, with enough velocity to paint a shipping container, covering not only my fork but the sink and all the filthy dishes in it left over by the suspected cretins who did this absolutely disgusting act of adding water to the bottle.

What kind of heathen does this? I'm so disgusted right now :mad:
 
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you guys. This place is the only forum I frequent, and although it's a cluster **** of delight and mixed selection of triumph and **** posts, it's like a dysfunctional family at Christmas. There is an undertone of love that runs through this place and support and I for one am truly grateful for that. I'm sure others are at times too.

I had the album too. Put it in minidisc, which my dad actually gave back to me the other day having found it in his loft. There’s not a single bad song on that album - it’s awesome.

Ah man! I’d love to see them play but I always cba going. I bet they put in a great show.

Have you seen Justin Hawkins new YouTube channel? It’s decent.
