No GT5 until 2009...!!!

A big old GT5 delay is understandable given all the hard work that they've obviously been doing on Gran Turismo Mobile for PSP

i always said when metal gear 4 and gt5 were out i'd get a ps3...

as it happens COD4 has grabbed my attention to get one now and with not too long till MGS4 i'm happy, although i am disappointed at the GT5 wait cuz i really loved 4...

metal gear does look ridiculously good tho :D

GT5 prologue is well worth a purchase when it comes out on PSN. Enough to keep you interested for a while.

Not surprised tbh, couldn't see a release this year regardless if it was done or not, especially with Prologue out in March.

Prologue has more than enough to keep most happy..

damn and here i was today selling my xb360 for 200 quid with 12 games just to fund for a ps3 (yeh i was desperate lol)... maybe ill put off getting a ps3 for now.... :/

Head about this yesterday

Certainly sucks, I thought the September release date was bad enough this though just takes the ****

When were you expecting it to be released, tomorrow???

Am I missing something? when did Polyphony say it was going to be released in 2008?

Everyone needs to stop throwing their toys out of the pram and get GT5p

I was wondering too how a game with no release date be delayed? It MAY be out in 2008 but i very much doubt it, people talk about Forza, PGR (not knocking these games at all) etc but these teams do not work as much with the motor industry as PD do. Didnt they say each car takes about 1 year (man hours) to make or something stupid like that, the attention to detail is amazing, even in so far as PD have a many of the cars in a garage in there building and drive them to make them "feel right". The Top gear crew also went over there at the same time as TGS last year to work with PD and also for a tour. For £18 GT5P is great value and a great game in fact i think it has more content than the original version of motorstorm, its not a demo its just Gran Turismo lite :)

Grrrr Joebob.
Creating the thread was just BOUND to have people here reacting exactly the way the thread has panned out.

Personally Ive never called it a demo because this totally mis represents the amount of gameplay that "Prolouge" offers. Very few owners of the game since its Jap / December 18th release have found themselves being short changed. Ive had great fun with the more mature and certainly more appreciative bunch on AV Forums were the "Demo" as some refer to it has topped over 100 pages of discussion and almost 40k in views.

As for the UK release of GT5P
Id expect the offical announcement by the end of the month at the latest.

New USA Confirmed Features
  • Over 60 cars
  • Compete on 6 tracks with 12 total layouts
  • Tunning = Suspension, Tyres, Gear Ratio and Engine Modifications
  • Save & Download Race Replays
  • Transfer your Gran Turismo 5 Prologue progress to Gran Turismo 5 when it releases

Basically car tunning, 60 cars instead of the 37 (Jap Ver) and a new track.
This is CONFRIMED for the USA release so we are awaiting confirmation the UK release is the same.

Still you guys would rather moan about the game being delayed which we are trying to point out isnt the case as it was never given a release date.
So many negative people in these forums, id rather duscuss the positive points about all the extras over the excellent JAP release but dont let me ruin your "moaning session"
guys

my feelings exactly. It's frustrating when a game you are looking forward to takes an age to come out but I would rather wait than play a rushed out version.

A rushed out version?

Oh yeah cos thats what GT5p is right?
Very poor thread for such a PRO PS3 Gamer
I thought you had a bit more sense to be honest. Annoyed at your lack of enthausiam or indeed concerns to post an accurate thread.

You can do better

Is it just me, or are you taking his and other peoples comments a little too far?

I don't really see anything in here which justifies your 2 posts, just people disappointed that GT5 is not going to be out for such a long time.

I never called it a Demo either. I don't see why you are getting your knickers in a twist as all I was doing was posting a news article which I thought some would find interesting. I actually thought it was due out later this year but being as though, I now know, I never had a release date then I stand corrected. I used the word 'delayed' and I appologise - mods please dish out whatever punishment you deem fit!

Jeesh Mr Latte, chill out. I never said GT5P was rushed out at all. I was merely saying that I would rather wait for a game to be completed before being released rather than it be rushed out, as happens all too often in the gaming industry.

What's got your goat? Is it because I was agreeing with you in another thread the other day so you need to redress the balance?

TBH I don't know why any PS3 owner is worrying about the release date for GT5 because I suspect we'll find that over the next 12 months or so anyone who buys Prologue will in effect have the full game through updates/microtransactions by the time the full game is released.

The full game will be for those that are still sitting on the fence.

Just looking at the upgrades etc that the likes of Motorstorm & even Prostreet has recieved especially on the US store I can see the same thing happening with Prologue, which IMO may end up costing more overall but will in turn keep the game fresh.

no. but... i was looking forward to it sooner rather than later! i'll hold off for now til at least ps3's are shipped with DS3.

Fair enough, but if you really want GT5 then I think you'll need/want a wheel to compliment it, rather than the DS3.

Also if you want the game asap then read my post above.
