I'd try to explain . I HAVE FAULTY 5700xt red devil. I bought it from downstream seller (company). I have invoice.

The downstream seller bought a GPU from distributor https://powercolor.com/distributors?area=2&type=1499242518

I have no idea from which one. The downstream seller does not answer the phone and does not reply to e-mails about RMA for two weeks.

None of the distributors want to help me. They demand proof that the downstream seller bought a card from them. They say they can't RMA card sold by other distributor.

In conclusion, I bought a GPU with a three-year warranty, but I cannot take advantage of it because Powercolor RMA system in Europe is... defective.

I am left alone with a broken GPU. Any tips what can I do?

You tried this form:

https://www.powercolor.com/contact

The top option is already pre set to tech support/rma when the page loads :D Might go to some magic mailbox that isn't one of the emails provided?!

Also for what it is worth, I use one of the bigger distis fairly regularly and they can track anything I have ever bought from them on serial number. I could have bought 100 of the same thing on 100 different invoices and if I give them a serial number they will give me the exact invoice that relates to that serial number. Obviously if you purchased from a downstream seller then the disti couldn't give you any information on that purchase for Data Protection reasons but they could in theory tell you if the card came from them.

Regardless if you have an invoice put in an rma request with the invoice and demand some action. Or contact the people you bought it off :D

I have had the card for a year. I am angry with myself. There were problems with GPU from the very beginning. On the internet were two fractions. First claimed that a black screen means a faulty GPU. The second said that the problems were due to drivers, OC of other components, or low-end RAM. I wanted to believe the fraction number two so I didn't return it. Now I have a period where I play more so I can see how often the card crashes. Every new driver works worse and worse. And now whenI've decided to do something about it, I can't :mad:

I had similar issue with a 6 month xfx gpu I bought brand new on ebay a few years ago. seller didn't wanna know, ebay didn't wanna know and best xfx would do is offer a small discount on a new gpu if I returned the card.

I now avoid buying anything xfx and avoid buying expensive electronics on ebay.

If the card will still work for mining you would still get crazy price for it selling second hand, maybe more than you bought it for.

Yeah. Now I have similar thoughts. You have to buy in large chain stores or check the warranty conditions. You should avoide manufacturers who make life difficult for end customer.

I had Issues with XFX and would never buy one found them very unhelpful

are you running it on Dp or hdmi ( have you tried a different cable )

when it goes black have you tried swaping the cable to the second port on dp had this issue on my old one three drivers back I think

are you on the latest drivers

fan start and stop is normal for a power color rx5700xt mine would power up then stop on system idle

It just stops working. I see black screen. I can restart PC only. Often power disappears in usb but not always. Fans on GPU start and stop

does it stop working midgame?

or when someonething else happens had cards in the past which would blackscreen and not boot after windows went to sleep

its also worth trying the card in a friends computer if possible just incase something else on your system is the problem

It happens when playing. Once or two for year in idle.

My pc never wakes up after sleep :cry: I am not sure but I think the same was with gtx1650 but gtx was never crashing.

I use DP, but tried HDMI on TV (there I hot green screen).

I'm not sure I tried swap. I was trying keyboard combination to restart. When I push or hold PC power button nothing happens. Only restart works.

All my devices are updated.

I'm not sure you understand the clue. When I have BS fans start and stop round and round very fast. It's hard to see on youtube, but you can hear it very well.
