Bit pointless as we are now running offers that would normally make TWO but for as long as it takes for us to run out.

The deals will be posted sooner than ever before and there will be more of them. All round the customer wins on this one, keep an eye on the news page and posts and you will agree very quickly I am sure. :)

Thanks for the clarification on this, it now makes a lot more sense. I'll keep my eye on the news page.

PS I'd really like a new PSU at rock bottom price please help!:D
 
I'm disappointed to see them go. The weekly offers were emailed to me and put all the good offers in one place for me to check for the entire week. I don't think I'll be checking every day for new deals as it requires extra effort to keep up and find them all.

I can only assume the change of tact co-insides which the economic downturn so a couple need strategies are being thought up to freshen things up. I hope this helps.

You'll still be getting a Weekly newsletter with super deals :)

Go to your shop account settings. You can select to receive the newsletter there.

We will shortly be adding a sign-up for the newsletter without having an account shortly.
 
Bit gutted about this to be honest mate as I for one looked forward to the Thursday offerings, There was a kind of buzz that built up towards the Thursday. Kind of hard to get revved up for a deal every day of the week, No what I mean ?
You got any wise words to win me over ?

It could be a couple of days between a deal or a couple of hours.

We may still do "this weekend only" deals from time to time or special easter/christmas/back to school promotions so all is not lost.

It is so much better to be able to post deals as soon as they arrive so people can take advantage of them, working really well so far.

In answer to the PSU deal question we are way ahead of you! We have a super high end unit at a brilliant price on its way to us now and are working on a mainstream PSU at the moment.

Keep an eye on the news page is all I can say! :D
 
I miss it but its obviously a better format just takes more effort to check, Can you not have a weekly summary eg. Heres what daily bargains have been on ocuk this week and summarise them in an email.
 
I thought i would be a big mistake getting rid of the "This week only" but since its gone there have been so many offers in its place :) also the price constantly being low rather than a week period is a god send nothing worse than there being a good deal on and not having the money to buy it that week :(
 
i for one will miss it.

looked forward to a Wednesday to look at two deals.

why not have a vote spie ?

i don't think i would look so often at today's price's than i would look every Wednesday at the deals.

a vote should make it clear to you and your customer's of what they want.

what do you think spie ?

I liked TWO, but

if OC had a new deal for an item. Would it not be better to get that deal daily. Or wait a few days to a whole week for that new deal that you may have wanted to get today.

Daily deals are far better as you dont have to wait for something to change in price. And TWO was only for 1 week deals and not for a perm price drop. So keeping this TWEO and the other special date deals for a short time would be great. And Daily price drops are great.

Well enough of my babbling. lol
 
TWO was more likely to result in an impulse buy, due to the perception of getting a better deal. The flip side is that it was also more likely to lead to disappointment if you missed that weeks offers, or couldn't afford the item that was on offer that week.

Not having TWO isn't going to be as exciting in the short-term perhaps, but is a better deal ultimately as you should always get the best price OcUK can negotiate on the item(s) you want.

Change is always met with scepticisim and suspicion it seems. I remember when Spie changed the forum look and feel and the resultant hue and outcry. Why not try it for a week or two and then feedback your thoughts?

Best price + no time limits = better deal imho.

I for one really looked forward to the "This Week Only" offers , logged in especially, just to see what special's were available.

I do hope you bring it back, it was very popular.
