No More This Week Only

Have to agree the "TWO" did have it's own magnetic pull, but it's better for the buyer this way "This Weeks Drops" last until stocks gone "TWO" was only 7 days so we get the better deal assuming decent stock levels of course!

Perhaps instead of putting the drops up randomly do it midday, gives everyone something to do lunchtime :p

I think a 'week offer' is better than a 'daily offer' as the day offers come and go so quickly that I ain't going to be rushed into buying something - let alone in the current economic climate.

Ive been following "this week only" for soooooooooooooo long. Its a magical pull that has lead me to spend so much its frightening lol.

Im just buggered as I wish to place an order but cant remember my account (forum one). Does having a account on the website since 06' with lots brought count?

I agree that the "new" system is better, the only thing I prefer out of TWO is the ability to easily see everything in one shot. (in other words just click, and the whole thing is there in an easy to see list).

But I am happy either way if I am honest.

I don't mind the new daily offers, but unless I am missing something I would like to see shown how much the normal price is, and how much you save as we had this on TWO. Perhaps I am blind.

Bring back the wednesday offers or i will never buy from ocuk ever again. :) lol

Sorry just got a bit carried away their...

But seriously i really enjoyed coming on every wedneday during my lunch break and looking through the special offers.

Most the stuff i have purchased were from the weekly offers section.

Without it i am lost.

i miss two :( i sat down lunch time wednesday all ready for a ncie browse. and there was nothing. you say you have done daily deals but i have not seen any i dont look at news thread. never had before i liked how two all great deals were in one place and i must say my last purchases were all bought casue they were on two offers.

im sad to see two go. having all he deals in one place was great. its no fun checking each day for one reducded item or somethin.

This week only should come back, the news section is not the place to be posting about offers,

the news section is about posting on when new things come into stock and old things back into stock and the odd ocuk matter,

offers section needs its own space.

how about advertising with a name like orange wednesday, but with a different colour name.
like making it a all weekender offers and so on. or maybe make it a random day offer

im sure you can come up with some think abit different :)

Personally the main problem that I can see (do I get my free shipping back for my opinion? :D) is that whilst you are constantly doing deals, people are not seeing them as such, but rather as just the normal prices, and if the items are not under a limited time deal people just think of it as a normal item and will shop around.

The TWO made it feel like you were getting a deal, and when you are spending a fortune on pc bits and bobs, even the psychological feeling of getting a deal is important (even if we know we should'nt be buying :D:eek: the stuff).

Just my opinion badly put :)

i thnk that is a very valid point, the fact it was a limited time period off made it feel like a good deal and inspired a purchase or you will loose out on the offer. now its just a price change it dont feel the same and whats he hurry to purchase price is staying for a while at least may aswell shop around

I would like to see the return of This Weeks Offers. If not, have page which shows the daily / weekend offers only, I find it gets mixed up with other news.

FYI, I have been following prices on a rival etailers site and noticed that their 'Today Only' offer section often has prices which are either:

1. Just a few pence cheaper than the normal price. I could have saved about 60p this last week on a Nvidia card. Big deal!

2. Actually a price increase - i.e. a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint actually went up a few quid.

Personally I liked the weekly offers - Every wednesday ,without fail, would look (even if not thinking of buying anything particular) just in case.......

Would mention that it also differentiated (imo in a good way)OcUk from all other e-tailers.
