It's because it's rubbish.

Portal was amazing and I only played it on 360. I won't be buying Portal 2 because I think its too pricey for such a short game but I WILL be renting.
You are wrong. Portal was amazing. Console gamers fail sometimes.![]()

I must be missing something but personally I can't see the appeal either, fair enough when it was just an add on to Half Life but a dedicated game? Can someone fill me in?![]()
It's set in the same world as half life, it is a company (Aperture Science) who are doing testing with a portal gun and you are a subject. This game is incredible and I recommend it to everyone. You might like the fact Steve Merchant voices one of the main character robots in it and does a brilliant job.
Are you sure their goal was to test the portal gun? I thought they were testing the way humans acted in certain situations, then using this to develop AI.
9 hours single player and 7 hours co-op is a short game, especially considering the replay value?
Portal is perfect. Portal 2 is not. It's something better than that. It's human: hot-blooded, silly, poignant, irreverent, base, ingenious and loving. It's never less than a pure video game, but it's often more, and it will no doubt stand as one of the best entertainments in any medium at the end of this year. It's a masterpiece.
