No Portal 2 thread?

Well so far I've got 20 hours out of it.

That's 2 playthroughs (one with commentary)

So there is still co-op and the free DLC to come.

How is that lacking in content? Not to mention that what is there is one of the most finely produced single player experiences around.

I'd rather have 10 hours of perfection than have a 40 hour padded out game (like Far Cry 2)

Just a shame for it to end like it did really, it only took me 2 evenings (not even full evenings) to finish the single player story.

I also thought the puzzles in the original game were more difficult than this one.

I'd sooner play this for 4 evenings and that be the end of it than play something that's boring as hell and badly produced for weeks on end.

Reached a point in the SP where it's all gone a bit meh, just after the Vertically Unchallenged achievement. Hopefully it picks up again....

I've only read page one of this thread* but here's my twopenn'rth.

Portal 2 is easily a contender for game of the year. Totally stupendous - I've played through the single player content three times so far - that Smash TV achievement was a right pain (well, the final monitor was, at least.)

Love it, love it, love it.

Funny thing is, when I first heard Wheatley's voice, I thought "oh, they've got that Ricky Gervais doing voiceover." Was Merchant the cheaper option? :D

*Totally bizarre internet filtering software at work. It (usually) blocks the PC Gaming section totally, then some bits of Console Gaming seemingly at random. Page one of this thread is fine, yet when I hit "next page", I get the block page. How the hell does that work? (Yeah, I know - "badly.")

Aye, that monitor was hard. I had to find it on Youtube to see how to do it, and even then it took me several tries to get it and there was a huge helping of luck required in pulling it off. When I managed to land safely on the platform behind the turret I was so pleased and all I could think was "DON'T FALL OFF!".

There's an easier way than that... Just bounce the three turrets as normal, then immediately throw the funnel back above them, catching them. Reverse the funnel, dump a portal in front of you and out pops a turret :)

Hahaha. There's always an easier/faster/neater/more elegant way to do something in Portal.

I love it.

Just finished it. Really enjoyed it as well. There was only one bit where I had to look online to get the solution. After I saw the solution I realised what a complete 'tard i'd been as it was so simple!

Also just finished the SP, did have to youtube a few bits which I'm annoyed at myself at doing

Overall Stephen Merchant made it worth getting from me, I dont think I'll ever view a game like this as a GOTY candidate simply because there isn't enough variety for me and I didn't enjoy spending ages on one chamber only to move onto the next and be scratching my head straight from the off on that one as well, made the whole experience a bit dis-jointed :/

I got most of the SP achievements on the first play through but there are a few I missed and with over a week until LA Noire I reckon I will start a second play through tomorrow.

Getting that Professor Portal achievement is going to be a real pain to get considering I haven't played any of the Co-Op yet let alone completed it and then have someone else on my friends list who owns it :(

Just friend someone from this thread, or go to xbox360achievements.org and find one of the achievement trading threads. Someone there will help you out.
