no socks

True, too many people are looking like numpties these days. The worst trend is those terrible haircuts with shaved sides and a mop on top.. each to their own I suppose :p

+1

I saw Lewis Hamilton sporting that haircut a few weeks back and was like WTF ? I love Lewis but he's still at that age where he feels the need to be 'In'. Funny thing is after a race, he takes his helmet off and his hair is a mess again lol.

Unless I'm wearing some sort of dress shoe I will likely go without socks.

Though that's usually with some type of deck shoe/loafer/trainer

Its something that I first noticed 2 years ago on X-Factor and Britains Got Talent, and then it spread to other reality shows. For some reason, guys on the shows were wearing no socks, trousers which were a few inches too short and quite often, slip on shoes.

This year, it became even more pronounced on the aforementioned shows. The interesting thing was that not one of the contestants were dressed that way prior to making it through to the later rounds, then suddenly they were all dressing like it, so I assumed that the make-up/costume folks behind the scenes were dressing them like it.

Where it all came from though I have no idea, I don't know of anybody personally who dresses in this manner.

Isn't it down to the new 'trend' to wear 3/4 length jeans or chinos with some Italian loafers hence no socks?

That does look ridiculous.

I quite like the bare ankle look, but when I'm on holiday and holiday only. I also make sure it looks more like this than the image you posted. :p

Hopefully never. :p

Lol! Stranger things have happened. I recall they came back at one point. Can't remember if it was the 90s or early 00s. It wasn't a "gone viral" type of thing but there were a lot at one point.
