No Time To Die (now contains spoilers!) Ha

We need some world domination / kill everyone plot tbh. The whole mega-hacker off-screen villainy just doesn’t work well for an action film.

How about... a plot using drug monies to finance secret missile silos on oil rigs in the sea. Something like that. It’s far more fun than ‘real-life’ / overseeing puppet master vibes the previous films have gone for.

They need to stop trying to modernise it and making it all gritty and go back to what makes bond entertaining and dare I say it - fun!

I thought all of the Daltons were aptly camp - it’s just that the first one was by far away the best.
 
Well considering Craig is very open about hating the role now and its all about the cash then its hardly inspiring confidence. Itll likely be up there with QOS as his trashest effort.

Did he bring that up at all during the press interviews after they announced it? Just wondering because I know they threw a boatload of money at him.

I get what you mean but Bourne did Bourne, maybe you could say it was more like the books but its nothing like what the film have ever tried to be other than the Craig reboot, which has sadly descended into parody at this point. First 3 Bourne films, well 1&2 especially, were superb.

Kinda feel James Bond has had its day - where is the audience interaction when you know no matter what, he’s never going to die.

Same as all the superhero guff. If the main character can’t die, what is the point? lol

Haha nah I am the first to say when a Bond is crap. I have been a fan since I was young but there have been more stinkers than good ones and I can happily admit that. Although I do have an explainable soft spot for From Russia With Love.

It's a bit cliched but Skyfall is still a thoroughly decent Bond, but I'm not saying that the Bond franchise churns out nothing but classics. A massive plus point is that Tom Cruise has never been in one. Saying that each MI movie gets better is slightly odd given that the first one is arguably the best.
