Tedious? I thought it was brilliant.

over the top unrealistic action.
You realise this is a bond thread right
Which is even more funny as Cruise insists in doing actual live stunts.Found it a bit boring, seen it all before, over the top unrealistic action.

Some yes. Either way, the half I saw was pants.
Bond girls, theme song, gadgets, charm, humour and over the top villains and lairs - my type of Bond.
Goldfinger
Goldeneye
From Russia with Love
Casino Royale
You Only Live Twice
The Living Daylights
The Spy Who Loved Me
No particular order!

Solid choices. TSWLM is actually my favourite Bond, and I don't really know why as it's definitely not the best. I'd argue pretty strongly in favour of FRWL as the best of the bunch.
TSWLM, Barbara Bach, superb.
Ringo is a lucky boy.
"Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed,”
Yeah I did roll my eyes at that quote tbh, unnecessary. Just goes to show it really makes a difference how these things are presented. So predictable... Of course they won't show a white male having some sort of power over a brilliant, young black woman these days.
So, upon reflection, I think it is actually a far more subtle and better way of promoting diversity (to the extent it is that) than having a black Bond, which would have been really jarring / felt forced. Thoughts?
