No Time To Die (now contains spoilers!) Ha

Wholeheartedly agree, the last 3 MI movies have been better than the last 3 Bond movies in the spy/action genre, they seem to be out-bonding, bond.

They have certainly outclassed Bond in the genre.

I find it a shame when the budgets are so high for these films, that some basic things like screenplay and editing are lacking. Sure they need a broad appeal, but it doesn't stop me wanting a decent director who could lend some craftsmanship to the entire production.

On the subject of alternatives, "The November Man" with Pierce Brosnan was a decent spy film that I enjoyed more than the recent Bonds also.

Well to be fair the bourne movies went off the rails as well. The first two were excellent though and the third while not a patch on the others was a very good finisher.

You know what your getting with Bond, Car chase, guns, fight to the death, tit bit of humour, Sexy woman in a sexy dress, great locations and a win. It is what it is and long may it continue, it doesn't need or have to be current.

Its James bond 007.

Thought this was a terrible send off to bond tbh… average film and then just killing bond, wuh. It’s like killing Indianna Jones… you just don’t ****ing do it.

The runtime was absolutely insane, what were they thinking. I can’t even begin to image how boring this would be on a rewatch.

There was also absolutely no need to urgently launch the missiles at the base? What was that about.

With that said, it was watchable…. As a one off. I was not ‘bored’, just very aware of the duration.

6/10 from me.

I enjoyed it and would say it’s second in the Daniel Craig Bond list for me behind Casino Royale.
Safin was very poorly written. Ana de Armas totally upstaged the 00 agent, who was very bland by comparison and had some poor script moments too.

Surprised by the ending as it seems unnecessary considering how the Bond franchise has worked throughout the last 60 ish years.

I quite enjoyed the film as an "end" to the Daniel Craig series but that is one of my major gripes with how Bond is now done - in the good old days you could just sit down and watch any Bond movie in isolation without having to worry about the story arc of the last 5 or 6 films!

I like Bond films to be stand-alone rather than as a series!

If there's a worse Bond film than this I'd like to know which one it is as I've not seen it. Utterly boring apart from the opening scene and the section with Ana de Armas. This was more like a Connery film than a Craig film. They tried to move the series on to compete with a Bourne or MI film with Casino Royale but this film was like going back in time. Awful, awful plot, awful bad guy factions and Craig was just phoning it in and getting it out of the way.

Die Another Day says "Hi"

I really enjoyed Skyfall the first time but on a second watching realised how little the story makes sense. No Time to Die has it's problems but I don't think they are as big.
