No tracking number for package?

You might have paid for signed for, but the fact that you never stuck on the 13 digit reference (Which would have been given when handing it over a counter, or by a roll of labels (I have these as I post a lot) available) means that it has only been sent by normal post. All online postage is is a sticker equivalent to X price. Basically just stamp values. Without the sticker / barcode its useless!
 
Its unfair to assume that all ebayers will try and scam you if you don't use recorded delivery. Yes, the more expensive the item is, the easier it is for people to let morals slide, but it isn't a large scale problem.
 
Thanks. I'll get a claim form from the PO. We have a huge stack of recorded and special labels but I didnt know I had to put one on. It should at least give you a warning when you buy online postage if you are not posting it at the post office. - Thats the whole idea of online postage, you dont have to go into the post office and queue up for an hour
 
On royal mail where it shows you where to stick the stickers:

Recorded is different, normal can be stuck straight into the Post Box.
