Noctua D15S vs AIO

I'm seriously in 2 minds whether to get the d15s for longevity or the aio for lower temps
The Arctic 360 Freezer II is definitely a good CLC though I've got a D14 that's been in use for over 10 years without issue; something I can't see a CLC being able to get anywhere near. The 3900X doesn't 'need' an Arctic 360 like an overclocked 9900K does so it's really down to your personal preference. ;)

is the crucial ballistics sport lt equal to the patriot viper performance wise
The Ballistix Sport uses E-Die, which, is not quite as good as B-Die but still very good. I've run them on Ryzen at 3733Mhz with still decent timings. There's a thread in the memory section dedicated to them. I'm not sure what the Patriot Viper is but I doubt they're B-Die as they tend to be 3200Mhz C14 or C16-16-16.

for me it's between them 2 but don't know which 1 is best, if I get the crucial I can get the d15, if I get the patriot i would need the d15s

I'm running the Team Group 8Pack Xtreme modules with my Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black, and they are taller than the Vipers? Fits with the outside fan raised and leaves about 1-3mm spare against the glass on my Phanteks P600S case door :)

would having the fan higher affect temps
In theory, maybe? :P

I won't fully know until I get the system back up and running, but I've also since changed from a 3700X to the 3900X, so I can't make a direct comparison, though I've got some feedback from others with the same CPU and cooler to get a rough idea of what to expect, so I'll know when the build is finished (hopefully tomorrow?)

Genuine question. If your main use is mainly gaming and general use, then is the extra money you are spending on a Ryzen 9 3900x and Gen 4 RAM worth it? You will see almost no frame rate increase or loading speed advantage by going that route.

If you have the cash, I would definitely stick with the 2080 ti GPU or whatever is the best at the time you make the leap. But I would seriously consider spending less on the CPU and RAM. Something like the Ryzen 7 3700x would be plenty, and Gen 3 RAM would give you the same performance and save you money. You could then also go for a B450 or 550 motherboard when they release, as again the benefit of a 570 motherboard is quickly diminished for just gaming.
