Noctua have finally released non beige fans!

If they have PWM control do you really care what is the maximum RPM? :) If the lose some of the accessories the price can be quite a lot more competitive while keeping the same quality of the fan itself.
Also love the new colour schemes compared to the beige one. They're not great but a major improvement considering the starting point. :D

if they have PWM control then no, but I don't recall reading that they did

From the testing at martinsliquidlabs he found out that they actually suck in performance terms, especially when used on radiators where they're beat by fans costing less then half the price.

There are many peeps who claim their fans are all snake oil marketing and there are better fans for far less.

When reviews show otherwise as well as user feedback? I have no idea what these new ones are like but my NFP12~ series are fantastic and quiet and keep a 4.6GHz i7 system at 36 degrees when all the fans are at a fixed 50% speed.

I have had 3-4 of their coolers BTW. ;)

I am happy these industrial fans are faster as it can be let ramp up to cool a OC rig during stress and slowed down when idle or even use a manual fan controller.

The stock fans are too slow IMO, I prefer faster fans than I can control for performance and noise.

There are even some people who have proved that noctuas are just an average fan.

Not to say other plastic fan makers don't excessively hype their product as an expensive thus premium fan with demonstrated lack of value when tested.

I'm not doubting what you're saying, but if such things have been proven then please post up the links for us all to see.

Show me the money!

Yes those are rad tests.

Have one which tests simply inflating a black rubbish sack:

Not to spoil it but when fans are advertised as incredibly quiet and do so by spinning at a miserable speed I take the dim view that they make no noise by moving no air.

The ones currently listed in the OP which have 3000RPM mentioned will not be remotely quiet and they will move air. Just like any other fan spinning at 3000RPM.

Interesting, those figures would suggest that in actual fact the NFP12 that Bit-Tech have tested (I use that model as an example as that's what I have in my own system) would be rubbish yet here I am with 2 on my H80 with the fans at 50% achieving real world temps of 36 with no big noticeable addition to operating noise :|

I'm certainly not going to go out and buy new fans now that's for sure!

I think 1 peep here fitted 1 Venom fan to his Noctua and got far better results over 2 of its own fans.

Nor me, many fans are simply lame.

They are adequate but their performance does not justify their price tag. They are an average fan in noise and output still playing by the rules of noise = performance.

By contrast, I tried several different models of fan, each recommended by lots of people. I ran numerous benchmarks and spreadsheeted all my results (I was bored at work!).
In the end, Noctuas were audibly quieter and achieved the lowest temperatures under all conditions. I was quite let-down by the Corsair SPs, in fact.

As for the price, I assumed that was the build quality of both the fans and teh numerous accessories. I've not found cables so well designed and made as the Noctua ones.

They do have PWM after all Noctual IndustrialPPC, and 3000RPM 140mm fan with 159CFM sounds mighty. :) It's not like we haven't had any great high RPM fans in the past but some of them are end of life already and are not being manufactured any more (like the Scythe Gentle Typhoons for example). Redux ones do have PWM too so they are very price attractive solutions for cases on my opinion. My next case fans will definitely be Redux ones.
