The reason we like the loud noise is because it sounds ****** awesome, really defines the car from others and lets you know what the car is doing

why do people like the sound of heavy metal music ?
to me its just pure noise. but to a fan its enjoyable music
same with the Sound of a Car Exhaust note. You have to be a true petrolhead to enjoy the sound of an exhaust note.

When I was living in India there was some car that were so close to breaking down, they would make the most horrendous noise. There was one car I rode in while in India, whose door wouldnt close properly, so the owner would take a piece of rope and tie the door shut. It made the most horrendous noise when moving and I have a feeling that you guys would be most impressed with its noise.
Personally, if my car was making such a loud noise, I would either get it fixed or wear ear plugs.
I sort of understand, but Heavymetal IS music. The car exhaust is just noise. I can understand if you enjoy the sound for a few seconds, but to sit inside the car and put up with the loud noise for an extended period of time, doesnt make any sense.
I would end up going deaf.

exhaust noises have notes, tone and pitch exactly the same as music.
Dont forget, the computer controlled F1 engines can be made to make the exhaust note play the national anthem.

well it wouldnt the same as any car with an exhaust
snap your cars exhaust of if you want natural.standard exhausts are like silencers , aftermarket exhausts are like silencers that have been tuned to play a specific note.
those kriessieg exhausts are pretty much only available for supercars anyway so some very rich people must like them.
Sound is subjective and you hate it. Move on then, trying to justify why you detest it or why others like it is foolish as it's a subjective call. You simply don't get it, I’m fine with that, we all appreciate different things but your ability to differentiate sounds is clearly very very poor as a V12 of such breeding is VERY different in its qualities when compared to a Trabant, though I suspect that would be lost on you....which again I'm fine with.
