I got a couple of BitFenix Spectre 230mm fans for the front and top (front one needs a little shaving off the top of the frame to fit nicely). Fitted the front one using the long rubber mounts with a couple of the supplied rubber washer/case fixing grommet things on each mount to space it back from the front mesh. Fans are run off the mobo headers rather than the fan controller - I can get lower speeds using Fan Xpert than I could with the case controller. Had to move the drive bay back to the mid position which made fitting the PSU a touch fiddly but no real problems.
Case is barely audible at idle - no whine at all, just a very low quiet hum. Under CPU load the Silver Arrow fans ramping up are louder than the case fans and during gaming the Twin Frozer at 45% fan speed is the loudest component by far, and it's not particularly loud. Really pleased - may remove the front grille at some point if I can be bothered, just to see whether it makes any difference but for now I'm a happy bunny.
As with most people, the biggest gripe with the case is the lack of space behind the mobo tray. Using lots of cable ties (at least there are a lot of anchor points) and some duck tape I can just get the side on without a bulge. Otherwise the case is really nice to work in, has lots of space and really good cable management with the above caveat.
