There arent many at the moment - you'll be able to download them direct from the N900 ovi store, plus have a look in the 'extras' section, there you can download beta applications. Personally Im really looking forward to the N64 emulator (when its ready)..
(some here: http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/applications/)
I got 18month contract
£35 a month, 900 mins, unlimited txt, unlimited internet, phone was free
OS2008 is for the previous generation of devices..
For the n900 you need the maemo 5 section which is not that populated at the mo
http://maemo.org/downloads/Maemo5/
There are shed loads of apps in maemo-extra and maemo-testing that are currently going through the QA procedure to ensure that they are optimised for the n900. With it being debian based, there are also all the debian based apps as well, but how they would look on the n900 is another matter...
This is probably what I'll end up going for - this with Voda on MPD?
Anyone know if there's any plans for an iplayer app?
To be honest if the phone is up to scratch there shouldnt really be many needed apps. I've not had a smartphone yet so haven't added apps etc but it looks fine to use out of the box for my tasks, calling and web and a bit of texting
Now if they would get on with releasing it on something and quick!
why would you buy something like this if all you wanted to do was talk and text?
Might be time to request my PAC code from O2 then and change to Voda, anyone using Voda have any problems with them?
Will probably go for the same deal as Kitchster - 18 months, minutes, unlimited web and text - seems good
On a side note I went into "Phones 4 U" earlier and played dumb asking for a release date, they said release would be in January and then phone was riddled with bugs etc - load of crap from sales people, make anything up, and this was the manager!
