I would still go for the ATI All-In-Wonder 2006 PCI Express over the 3D cards. It has software and options for video editing (inputs, break-out box, VIVO, PVR functionality, TV Tuner etc).

Obviously the cheaper cards don't have these features either.

It can be had for around £100 to £130.


the software that comes with these cards for editing are rubbish.And highly limited.

Considering he is using the industry standard pro tools for his audio work would show he as higher aspirations in the editing arena than ati bundled software or windows movie maker.
