noob advice

bit of a update, got myself a 128gb sandisk ssd, not the best i know but a family friend had a brand new one unopened so i took it off his hands. so basically what do i need to do to transfer my 45gb c drive onto the sdd so that the pc boots from the ssd. A step by step would be perfect.
cheers andy

just plug in the ssd into the intel sata3 ports, then use macrium reflect and clone your windows operating system from your hdd to the new ssd

once done go back into the bios and set the ssd as first boot device in the hdd order

you can install the intel rapid storage drivers in windows to improve speeds further

right guys i have installed my new ssd, cloned my hdd onto it. Do i now delete the content of the hdd so that everything boots from my ssd? because at the moment i try to uninstall programs and its comes up with an error because the programs are still opening from my hdd i think.
how to i get all my programs to open from my ssd

cheers andy

did you set the ssd as first boot device in the bios? under hdd priority or boot order

you can leave your old windows on the hdd if you want or back up important stuff and formatt it and re install your games/programs

yeah i am pretty sure its booting via the ssd. so if i backup stuff just in case and then format the disk so it empty. then see if my programs work if not re install them and save the path as the ssd.
