just got new router today and doing a bit of configuring here. On my old router my network machines were labeled like 10.0.0.2 upwards, however, on new router they all start with 192. I'm just curious as to why the IPs are different on the two routers! Sorry if this is a real stupid question.

It's up to the manufacture to put a internal LAN address config onto the router. Its just their choice.

ah ok. As long as it doesn't make any odds to me then I'm happy!

you can change it anyway unless the manafacture has hard coded it into the router but from what I know there aint any normal house routers that hardcodes it.
