Just got home and gone wireless on the PC, it's connected to my router but has a poor signal. My laptop on the other hand, sat right next to the PC, has full signal.
How can this be? Any advice would be appreciated.

I've checked on the wireless card - ASUS PCE-N53
It's enabled and has the latest drivers.

It has a Ralink chipset so it's bound to be rubbish :D

Wired is always better for gaming IMO. If distance is an issue have a look at homeplugs/powerline networking. I have 5 TPLINK AV200 plugs in the house and they have been flawless. Not as fast as dedicated ethernet cabling, but much easier than ripping floor boards/skirting boards ;)
