Noob memory question

Ok here’s my noob question,
My system currently has 2 4gb sticks in it, 2666mhz I believe
I have 2 16gb sticks on the way at 3200mhz on the way,
My mb has 4 slots.
Can I run them all?

You can but they will run at the slower rated speeds

Yeah having 16gb will help your PC stretch its legs

Yeah my new memory is 32gb , 2 16gb sticks, so I'll probably leave the 8gb off .....use it for paper weights or something

You could try selling it on Ebay or similar.

I think you will do better with just the 2 new ones, too much chance of strange compatibility problems with mixed memory, I would expect. And you are getting 4x the memory at a faster speed anyway
