Ok have done a bit of research on ssd drives. I have just upgradeed my board and chip P8 z68-v 2500k seems pretty nice .. Now i have been looking and have seen a Corsair CSSD-F120GB3-BK Force Series 3 120GB Solid State Drive - Read 550MB/s, Write 510MB/s b.
Wel i take it this will run on the sata 6gb ... my main question is would i be better off using it as my games drive and then just running windows on my 6gb 1tb drive as the speeds only 99 read ..
Just tell me if thats retarded i need to know lol

thanks

I think you'll get much more benefit using it as your Windows drive with some often-used games on it, leaving other games on your HDD.

Games actually benefit the least from an SSD out of common home user applications, since most of their data is compressed and sequentially read anyway. Basically any games on the SSD will have their loading times reduced but not by a massive amount (in most cases).

+1 on putting your OS on the drive, the boost you will see in boot times and in response times will be huge.

also if i were you, i would go for the Crucial M4, its the forum favourite around here, and with the new firmware update it boosts the read speed to 550mb and write to just under 200mb

thats what i plan to do when i get mine (eventually, ive been saying that for ages haha) ill put my OS on there, SC2, BF3 and probs some other apps depending on what size
