Hi , Sorry if the question is a bit dumb but i wanted to know if my new HD (Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 32 Mb cache) would by default be running at its max output or do i need to alter any settings ( and if so how)
Thanks in advance..
PS.. i have loaded win 7 Ultimate on this drive and upgraded my Ram to 4Gb
Its fitted in the PC and connected to the Mboard by the Sata cable that was on my old C drive temporarily whilst i transfer files etcand my old C drive is connected by the sata cable connected to Output 3 from the M board but i cant see the other 3rd HD drive (which is connected by Sata to output 2 on the M board) showing in My computer. Is it the cabling? i have the sata cables connected to 1/2/and3 output s from the M board. Do i need to alter anything in the bios? Thanks again..

Re your main HDD, no you dont need to alter any settings it will just run as it should
Re the 2nd HDD, can you see it in BIOS? If so right click on computer from the start menu and click manage, then click disk management under storage on left hand side, do you see the drive listed here? If you see it and its in black you just need to initialise it which this should do automatic when you start the management console
