Noob SSD question.

I would quite like an SSD for Windows 7 boot and all non game applications, ie office, photoshop, AVG, all that sort of stuff. Games can go on another drive.

I'm coming from RAID 0 Raptor X's which were too noisy.

I have 2 questions:

*What minimum size would you reccommend?

*What's the cheapest drive that might deliver similar performance to my previous config?

128gb

and the crucial is a great buy at the moment (even though its gone up in price)

for responsiveness, it will blow your raptors away.

how big is your windows/apps at the moment ?

would you get away with a 64gb drive?

I've managed to fit Vista, Adobe CS4 Master collection, Office 2007 and a few other large apps onto a 64GB SSD.

It doesn't leave much room, but it will fit.
