Nostalgia time: MS-DOS memory management!

Sadly I did not experience any of this :p My first PC had a PM54 and was on Windows 95 (which was still incredibly out-dated at the time). I'm a baby compared to you lot ;)

286 6Mhz / 12 Mhz with turbo button on :) 40mb hard drive :)

I remember when one of the lads got 1GB of hard disk by collecting loads of disks. He was awesome at the time :)

60 me and 22 years of home computing so I got into it late at 38. However when I was at school in 1968, the calculator had not been invented or at least not available for less than a $1000 :) .

Started a year after the office got its first 8086 and I got volunteered to back it up on C90 tape and control the software

Yes that was the game, it was a right pain to get to run with the memory problem lol, but it was worth it though :)

It ran fine on my 286 (once I loaded everything in HMA), but I got abysmal framerates during the space battles if there were loads of enemy ships. Really stuttery! All the other sections were fine. Never really finished it. :(
