ERG mode is dreamy. Until you get in to a death spiral of fatigue.

Resistance goes up, cadence goes down, resistance continues to go up to compensate, cadence decreases further. Eventual death.

Where as a regular trainer would just see VP decline.

Yes - it leaves me scrabbling for the *toast* button. :D

Didn't feel impressive... :o

FRONT SQUAT 40*8, 60*3, 80*3, 72.5*8
DBSS BW*10, 20*6, 20*12/5/5

Then a roll around Watopia for 10 minutes "resting" at 233W with 10s sprints every 1m50s... weirdly, my legs weren't up to much. :D

Did some strict press the other day... 40kg for three sets of 10. I am unbelievably weak.

DEADLIFT (AMRAP) 60(5)-100(3)-135(8) Harder than it should have been. Much harder!

Shoulder is definitely not happy as a result of some recent pushups, but at least it is a different part of my shoulder... :p

FRONT SQUAT (6-6-8) 40-60-77.5 Considering I only managed 80kg for 3 last week, this wasnt too bad.
DBSS (10-10-12) BW-20-32 Moar strength, less hypertrophy...

Ewwww... cycled into work this morning with a 20-30km/h headwind and my legs are fried, To be fair, however, it was faster than the last time I did it and with a lower heart rate, so I'm giong to count that as progress (after a fashion).

Having a tail wind was nice... apparently I am fourth fastest of everybody that does my commute based on Strava (which I think is wrong).

Topped out at 30mph, however...

Managed a commute into work on the bike (Tuesday), and tried to get a Zwift training session done this evening, but got nuked (5mins @ 110%FTP for 5 reps)... Then tried following dod around London, but died...

Not the greatest day of training but some reasonable numbers...

Have not really lifted for nearly three weeks because my shoulder is being a little PITA... Feeling much better, now, but have done a bit of cycling training...

A few days ago, did the SST (short) on Zwift; had to detune my FTP to cope with it and work it back up (from 235W to 207W) using the "bias" function. Got it back up to 225W and it was still a bit easy, so figure I just need longer to warm up.

Today, did 10mins on Zwift, followed by some back...

BOR (10-12-12) 60-70-70
SAR (12-12) 20-20

Did some shoulder rehab, too. Again. :p

So... I am self-medicating using the hypothesis that I hurt because I am not strength training. So moar strength training it is.

SNATCH HIGH PULL (3-3-3-3-3) 60-70-80-80-90 Did 120kg for 3 reps for the lolz, but it wasn't full range...
DEADLIFT (5-5) 130-130 Second set was a Lot easier...

Yeah - it is difficult to be precise with the Bushido.

And I am also not very calibrated with my misery-o-meter for cycling: I know what near-death feels like under a bar, but I am still struggling to work it out on the bike...

How much harder could I go? How much longer? I found yesterday that drifting my cadence up to circa 100rpm made things a bit less painful from a force perspective but savaged them from an acidic buildup...
