Not what you want to see when collecting you paper whilst walking the cat.

Ignore the haters, OP. I walk my cat too. She has a fabulous pink studded leash and is the talk of the town.

She doesn't venture beyond the garden tho ;)

I've just got this mental picture of me telling my work mates your story as if it was me. They would rip me a new one and I'd probably be looking for a new job due to the constant stick.

also

Pictures of you and the cat on a lead or it didn't happen :)

This is a funny thread :D

I recently came across a couple walking their cat in the woods... on a lead. They were also very overdressed for the location, as if they should be at an expensive function, or wedding... it was an odd scene, and these are pretty remote woodlands.

Also saw a guy taking a parrot for a walk on his shoulder at an NT property. And at the same place a couple would take their collection of cuddly toy animals out for tea, arranging them around the table.

As for violent chavs.. living next to a town centre pub for a few years we saw it all, so nothing strange there.

You should paws for thought and reflect on how you missed getting involved in a nasty incident by a whisker. I would scratch that route and choose a more salubrious one.

I remember a boutique on the A6 in Stockport. It was called Seven Miles Out, and the woman owner had a pet panther and had it in the shop quite regularly, on a golden chain. 'Elf 'n' safety would have had a fit, had they been thrust upon us back then. I never saw if she walked it, or whether she took it home by car or bus, or whether it lived permanently in the shop, but it would probably have been an interesting ally in a brush with some low lifes!

Saw a couple doing that at the giftshop/restaurant at a lake or reservoir somewhere up North - going to bug me now as I can't remember which it was. IIRC it has a long private toll road around the area.
